Although Reiji appears to be a war god, he doesn't act like one and seems to be the opposite of it. Always kind and gentle to the person around him. Furthermore Reiji is most of the time very calm, but that can be traced back to his sleepiness. In this condition he doesn't care about a lot of things and likes to be lazy. If he's very tired, Reiji even takes a long break before doing his job. Another bad attitude is his lack of sense of direction. 
He likes to get lost and doesn't really know the present age. If you show him a mobile phone or something like that, he'll be fascinated about it. It's because he slept for a very long time and woke up in the current time.

History: 

Long ago Futsunushi was born from the death of the fire deity Kagutsuchi. And is like Takemikazuchi a sword god.
In other passages Futsunushi is referred as the child of Iha-saku no kami, who originated of the blood of Kagatsuchi. Before he slept for a very long time, he was the general of Amaterasu. 
He even wore a armament.
After he went to the earth, because Amaterasu told him to inspect it, he tried to calm the human. Actually he wanted to return, but didn't, because of his habit of sleeping.
So he went to sleep and woke up in the current time.

- he rarely smiles, but his smile can calm the people around him and it's heartwarming :')
- you have to do something really evil if you want to make him angry ( but if you do this, he really acts like a war god! He isn't a war god for no reason...)
